In accordance with the laws on Intellectual Property, copyright consent must be formally obtained in writing for the reproduction of any Dame Laura Knight  works from The Estate of Dame Laura Knight DBE RA.

APPLICATIONS FOR COPYRIGHT CONSENT SHOULD PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

Artistic Works:
1) The name of the artists’ work(s) for reproduction
2) From whom the image of the artist work is to be obtained
3) Purpose of reproduction of the artist’s work, giving as much detail as possible e.g.

• On books, please advise whether for book sleeve or for inclusion within text; the proposed print run; whether in any language in addition to English; whether to be published in other countries in addition to the United Kingdom.
• On Greetings and Seasonal cards/ Calendars/ Diaries/ please advise the proposed print run and proposed Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
• On leaflets/ invitation cards/ posters/banners please provide proposed Sizes.
• On ceramics the nature, proposed quantity and RRP.
• On packaging, the proposed contents within package and proposed product RRP.
• On DVD or Computer sleeves, the print run and proposed product RRP.
• On advertising requests, details of product or cause,an extract of accompanying text, media to be used and frequency.
• ON TV, Film or other similar requests please give as much detail as possible.

4) In instances where the work is to be shown on a website*, a copy of the website page is required before consent will be given.
5) Cropping and overwriting work is permitted in certain circumstances, but a copy of the proposed cropped and/or overwritten work is required before consent is given.
6) Where applicable - period for which copyright consent is required: From/To.

Literary Works:
Similar to above, plus a copy of the page(s) within which the extracts are to be included.

Note: Consent to reproduce Harold Knight RA (1874-1961) works may also be obtained from the Estate of Dame Laura Knight DBE RA.

** Artist Copyright Fees are discounted on most applications from Public Galleries and Museums, plus some Registered Charities.
